First Ever Young Lawyers Blogging Contest
The CLLA Bankruptcy Blog announces the first ever young lawyers’ blogging contest.    The contest is intended to encourage younger members of the League to show off their writing talents and up their involvement in League activities.    According to CLLA Bankruptcy Blog editor Steve Sather, “Young members have grown up with blogging and social media so this should be a natural fit for them.”

Here are the rules:

1.  To be eligible to participate, a person must be a member of the CLLA in good standing who is either 40 years old or younger or who has been licensed for less than five years.  Law students who are associate members of the League are eligible to participate.    (If you are not a member and would like to participate, now would be a good time to join).
2.  Entries must relate to bankruptcy or debt collection.
3.  Entries may be in writing, video or any other format compatible with Blogger.    However, an entry consisting entirely of emojis might have a competitive disadvantage.
4.  Entries must be accompanied by a recent photo.
5.  By submitting an entry, the author certifies that it is their original work.
6.   The Editor reserves the right to edit posts for grammar, length, accuracy, etc.
7.  Entrants consent to having their post published on the CLLA Bankruptcy Blog.
8.  All entries must be received by midnight on November 30, 2015 Central Standard Time.   Entries should be submitted to Stephen Sather at
9.  The winner will be determined by a combination of page views and votes by the Executive Committee of the Bankruptcy Section.    The determination of the Editor shall be final.
10.  The winner will receive a $50 gift card and the opportunity to publish an article in the Commercial Law World magazine.

If you know a young lawyer, please encourage them to participate.   Because 50% of your score will be determined by page views, be sure to submit early and get all your friends to view your entry.   If you have any questions, send them to Steve Sather.   Good luck!
